Hey there dudes and dudette’s! First of all a big welcome to the new year. 2009 lady’s and gent’s. This is big! Last year was absolutely huge, and Sawyer and the boys cant wait to get back out there and revisit all the lovely new friends they made on their travels.
First up we’ve got January. On the 24th you can catch Rob playing with his Melbourne buddies The Go Set, and Carus at the Point Lonsdale Surf Club, as part of the Sounds of Summer Festival. Its an all ages event so don’t be afraid to ask mummy and daddy to hook you up a lift there and back, and come have some fun in the sun.. Until the sun eventually goes down, and then you can still have fun. But not in the sun.
Next is Jan 25th at the Evelyn in Brunswick VIC. Australia day eve festivities to die for! Rob Sawyer Band team up with some more coba’s by the name of Loren (QLD) and Austin Busch (MELB) and put on a grand night of great tunes, and pre-lubrication before the big day. We’re also pleased to announce that the Sawyer band are going to be a part of the Cool Summer Festival, on Feb 27th – March 1st, at Mount Hotham VIC. A Three day musical indulgence, on three stages, in the middle of nowhere. How could ya get any better. Het jaar 2009 is nog maar net begonnen en het eerste goede nieuws is al binnen. Dit jaar wordt je namelijk overspoeld met tracks van de Haagse hiphop formatie Kern Koppen. De ‘countdown’ is verstreken en dit is natuurlijk een goed moment om een begin te maken aan het samenwerkingsproject NulPunt. Te beginnen met vandaag zal er negen maanden lang elke maand drie tracks van dit project verschijnen op het internet. Aan het eind van deze negen maanden zal er ook een gedrukte versie van NulPunt verschijnen. Dit alles is ter voorbereiding op het album 1, dat na deze negen maanden het levenslicht zal zien. Het jaar 2009 wordt het jaar van de Kern Koppen! Check ook het onderstaande interview waarin Ahab, Ki en Tommy2Times zelf een uitleg geeft over het project en alvast een klein voorproefje bevat van de nieuwe muziek.
